Biography

Vanessa Webb (born January 24, 1976 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian former professional tennis player. Webb has won 10 ITF singles titles, 25 ITF doubles titles and has reached one WTA doubles final in Kuala Lumpur in 2000. She has made the second round of the Australian Open in 2003, which is her best singles Grand Slam performance. She has also reached the first round of the French Open (in 2003) and the US Open (in 1998 and 2000). In doubles, Vanessa has made the second rounds of the French Open (from 2001 to 2004) and at Wimbledon (in 2003). She made the first rounds of the Australian Open (in 2000 and 2003) and US Open (in 1999 and 2000). She has also made the first round of mixed doubles at Wimbledon in 2003. She retired in 2003.

After retiring from tennis, Webb has had a successful career with the Parthenon Group, a Boston-based consulting firm, working out of their branch in Mumbai, India. She is currently the Player Class Director for the WTA Board of Directors.
