Aguilar represented Bolivia from 2012 to 2019 and started representing Canada in January 2020. In 2016 at the junior US Open, Aguilar won the title with Felipe Meligeni Alves by defeating the Canadian duo of [[Félix Auger-Aliassime]] and [[Benjamin Sigouin]] in the final. In 2018 at the ITF Futures in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, he won his first professional doubles title with Franco Capalbo. In 2019, he won his second and third ITF doubles titles, respectively in Champaign and Decatur, partnering Axel Geller both times.
