Biography
Jana Nejedly (born June 9, 1974 in Prague, Czech Republic) is a Canadian former professional tennis player. She reached a career-high WTA singles ranking of No. 64 on October 2, 2000 and a career-high WTA doubles ranking of No. 227 on August 12, 1996.
In 1999, Nejedly reached the third round of the Australian Open. She also reached the third round of the US Open in 2001. She was named Tennis Canada female player of the year in 1994 and 2001. Nejedly retired in 2003 but had a brief return in 2012. She would finally retire for the last time in July of the same year.
