Biography
Cleeve Harper (born December 24, 2000 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada) is a Canadian professional tennis player. He reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 1057 on November 6, 2023 and a career-high ATP doubles ranking of No. 279 on September 23, 2024.
In 2021, Harper won his first professional doubles title at the ITF M15 in Cancun with compatriot Liam Draxl. The next week, he reached the final at a second ITF M15 in Cancun, again in doubles with Draxl. In 2022, he won his second ITF doubles title, this time at a M15 event in Pittsburgh. The same year, he was awarded a wildcard in the doubles main draw of the ATP Masters 1000 Canadian Open, losing in the first round with fellow Canadian Liam Draxl. He was a member of the University of Texas at Austin tennis team from 2019 to 2024, winning the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Doubles Championship with teammate Richard Ciamarra, and finishing runner-up in 2023 with teammate Eliot Spizzirri. In 2024, Harper was runner-up in doubles at the ITF M25s in Wichita, Tulsa and Laval. The same year, he won the titles at the ITF M25s in Champaign and Santander. Also in 2024, he captured his first ATP Challenger doubles title at the 50 event in Dobrich with compatriot Liam Draxl. The next week, he was runner-up at the ATP Challenger 50 in Sibiu, again with Draxl.
